CCTV footage being used to identify illegal dumpers

ILLEGAL dumping and roaming horses are blighting a housing estate in Tuam where almost three quarters of a million euro will be spent this year refurbishing and upgrading properties in the area.
Domestic refuse is strewn across a green area in front of a row of eight houses in the estate, with the majority of the rubbish confined to a corner section.
Residents say they have highlighted the problem to both the local community wardens and environmental section of Galway County Council over the past six months.
