President becomes Patron of Circle of Friends Tuam

Circle of Friends Tuam is delighted to announce that President of Ireland Catherine Connolly has agreed to become Patron of the group.

Part of Tuam: Town Embracing Diversity, Circle of Friends brings people of different ages, cultures, abilities, languages and social backgrounds together for a monthly coffee morning.

Since its first gathering in June 2023, it has become a welcoming space where friendships are formed, and loneliness and social isolation are challenged.

The President’s decision to become Patron is a great honour for Circle of Friends and a wonderful recognition of its work in building a more inclusive and connected community.

The organisers expressed their sincere appreciation to the President and to local businesses, community organisations and NGOs whose generous sponsorship makes the monthly gatherings possible. Their continuing support ensures that everyone who attends can enjoy a cuppa and a scone in a warm and welcoming setting, regardless of personal circumstances.

Circle of Friends meets on the second Monday of every month from 11am to 12 noon at The Woolstore, The Square, Tuam. Everyone is welcome.
