Another prize for Peter Mannion choir

THE NUIG male voice group, the Testostertones, have won the best choral society group recording for the 2015 Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas competition.
The result was announced live on air on December 23. The group sang a barbershop version of the Mariah Carey Christmas classic 'All I want for Christmas is you’.
Peter Mannion from Belclare, Tuam, a former student of St Jarlath’s College, is the director of the University choirs and the Lyric FM award caps a hugely successful term for Peter and the NUIG Choral Society.
In November the Testostertones won the Male Voice category at the Sligo Choral Festival and the NUIG Alumni Choir, also conducted by Peter Mannion, won the Light Music category.
