Gaa apologise for big match day chaos

LONG and frustrating delays for fans trying to get through Tuam and Claregalway to the Galway-Mayo Connacht Semi-Final in Pearse Stadium on Sunday and the shambles which the park and ride facility descended into has once again prompted calls for a return to staging major matches at Tuam Stadium.
The GAA has apologised for the chaos on Sunday but the debacle has once again prompted calls for major matches like this to be held in Tuam Stadium.

However, Chairman of Tuam Stadium Committee Ronan Glynn told The Tuam Herald that it was not just a matter of sitting down and picking a stadium. Croke Park rules dictate that each county nominates a primary stadium and in this case it’s Pearse Stadium.
