Mary has a little lamb!
THERE were great scenes at a farm in Caherlistrane when Mary Hoade the County Councillor met up with Mary Hoade the sheep.
The Headford councillor was invited to come along to the Higgins family farm in Killamonagh last week to see her namesake, which had recently given birth to two lambs. The lleyn ewe was named by seven-year-old Leon.
“Mary Hoade the sheep was born around the time of the local elections in 2024. Leon was five at the time and asked his father Jonathan if he could name one of the new borns,” recalled his mother, Rachel.
