Galway masters fell by a point to Cavan

CAVAN booked a place in this year’s Gaelic Masters Final at the expense of Galway on Saturday as the Ulstermen finished the stronger of two sides in the final quarter despite a late goal from Galway full forward Donal O’Flatharta.
Both sides were matched throughout and it was Cavan who opened the scoring through Ciaran Fox. It was nip and tuck throughout the first half with All Ireland Medallist from 1998 Shay Walsh keeping Galway in touch as he kicked three first half points.
