Former Chair puts freeze on Console funds

The workings of all charities should be checked says a “disgusted” voluntary ambassador for Console Cllr Peter Roche who has frozen funds collected for the charity following an RTE Prime Time exposé of financial irregularities at the organisation.

Cllr Roche chose Console as one of two charities to benefit from his County Mayoral Ball held earlier this year.

He is also adamant that he hasnt' received any payments for his role as Ambassador for the charity in the West.
