Tuam students thrilled to make it to the national junk kouture final

CELEBRATIONS are continuing in Mercy Secondary School this week after three students secured a place in the grand final of this year’s Junk Kouture competition.
Carrie Burns-Ryan, Deirbhile Molloy, Catriona Moran, all TY students at the school, saw their Great Gatsby dress chosen as one of 18 to make it through from the regional final held in Castlebar last week.
The evening gown was made from feathers collected from local farms that took five months to hand sew on to the skirt.
