Headford schoolboy to shine on late late toy show

THE children of Claran NS near Headford will be among the most eager viewers of this weekend’s Late Late Toy Show when one of their own will be performing on stage.
Adam Kerrigan, 11, from Ballyhale, has been chosen as one of the musical acts on this year’s show, when host Ryan Tubridy will showcase the hottest young talent from around the country, as well as the most popular toys likely to be delivered by Santa Claus next month.
The sixth class pupil auditioned for the show early last month and has been chosen to sing alongside two other children from Co Meath as one of the musical acts.
Fresh from rehearsals in Dublin over the weekend, he spoke to The Tuam Herald from his classroom this week, where his friends are offering huge support ahead of Friday’s show.
“I sent a CD in last month and my mam thought we were too late, but a couple of weeks later I got a call asking me to go to Dublin for an audition,” said Adam.
