An Post officials to attend meeting in Caherlistrane

OFFICIALS from An Post are to attend a meeting in Caherlistrane on Friday to discuss the future of the local post office.
The meeting follows two public meetings in the area in recent weeks where the community has voiced its concern that postal services, which were transferred to Headford following the closure of the shop in the village, will not be reinstated once the shop reopens.
Deputy Paul Connaughton will attend Friday’s meeting, which comes in the wake of similar concerns over the future of Cappatagle Post Office in the south of the county and the refusal of An Post to announce a decision on Barnaderg Post Office, four months after it was expected to be delivered.
