Credit union plans full banking service

A FULL banking service for the people of Tuam and its hinterland — that is the ambition of St Jarlath’s Credit Union.
The strategic plan was unveiled at the annual general meeting on Tuesday, and it will be discussed further at “town hall meetings” around the common bond area in the months to come.
Time and again during the meeting the message “The member comes first” was stressed, and the packed room in the Corralea Court Hotel bore witness to the interest of the general membership in the affairs of the credit union.
This is the 47th year in the history of St Jarlath’s Credit Union (SJCU) and members were pleased to learn that it is in a very healthy financial position.
