Cocaine and speed seized in tuam

Gardai targeting the activities of a number of people suspected of being involved in the possession of drugs for sale and supply in Tuam town arrested one man at the weekend and seized a quantity of hard drugs at a house in the town.
Tuam Gardai seized methamphetamine and some cocaine with an estimated value of €7,500 in the raid.
The man arrested was taken to Tuam Garda Station on Saturday for questioning and was later released, with a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
This is just one of a series of major drugs seizures since Supt Pat McHugh promised almost year and a half ago to deal with the drugs issue in the area and established the Tuam Gardai Drugs Unit.
