The waiting game resumes for Galway U-20 and U-17 hurlers

YOUNG inter-county players in both codes were rocked last week by the news that any U-20 and Minor Championships with fixtures outstanding are postponed due to the move to Level 5 restrictions nationwide. 
Though both Galway football teams at these age grades had completed their 2020 seasons, having being crowned All-Ireland champions at U-20 level and suffering defeat in the Connacht U-17 semi-final against Roscommon, their hurling counterparts are once again left in limbo as the U-20s must now wait to play their Leinster final with Dublin — after beating both Laois and Kilkenny to qualify for the decider — which was scheduled for Sunday, January 3.
