Hobby and sports card could be a gamechanger for teens in the West of Ireland
AN innovative leisure-card scheme that gives young people €350 each year to support their hobbies, sports and pastimes could be on its way to the West of Ireland.
The system is credited with transforming wellbeing and life outcomes for young people in Iceland and an effort is now underway to replicate it in counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
Parents from the three counties are invited to a webinar tomorrow Thursday at 2pm, that will explain the benefits of the scheme.
