Caoimhe won first Prof Mike Cooley award

THE inaugural Professor Mike Cooley Award for Academic Excellence at Archbishop McHale College has been bestowed on Tuam student Caoimhe Walsh.

Named after Dr Cooley, a past pupil of the school, the award recognises the excellence achieved through hard work. Caoimhe, 16, from the Milltown Road, was honoured for outstanding results in all subjects at Junior Cert level.
