SPECULATION is continuing to mount in Milltown as to the identity of the village’s newest millionaire.

A €4.5m winning Lotto ticket was sold in Ryan’s Daybreak last Thursday, with Lotto HQ confirming the good news in the hours after Saturday night’s draw.

 “I was in Galway attending the Vodafone Comedy Festival and during the interval my phone rang with the news,” said Claire O’Connor, shop owner.

 “I immediately thought it was our staff syndicate of 15 who have been playing the Lotto for the past 12 years, but unfortunately it wasn’t.
