‘If you can’t support us, abstain’ — Greenway plea

“IF you can’t vote yes, please abstain.” That was the message to Galway county councillors from a meeting of Tuam business people in support of the Greenway on Wednesday night.

It followed the launch of the Quiet Man Greenway in Athenry the night before, and the attendance packed the Mitre Room of the Corralea Court Hotel.
The focus of the campaigners now is to have Galway Co Council vote in favour of a feasibility study when they meet on September 24.
