Brendan impresses as ten to become eight

Tuam’s Brendan Murray has won back the admiration of head X Factor judge Simon Cowell

Brendan’s impressive performance of REM’s Everybody Hurts was another golden moment for him in the singing show which won over all four judges on Saturday night.

Simon has criticised the 21-year-old in previous weeks but having watched his performance and footage of a brief visit home during the week, Simon congratulated him and feels Brendan has found himself in the competition.

Brendan event went over and shook Simon’s hand.

Music legend Nile Rogers, who is standing in as group mentor for Robbie Williams, was overwhelmed by Brendan’s performance, telling him he’d love to work with him.

Speaking afterwards Brendan said it was one of his most emotional performances.

It’s another double elimination week on The X Factor with two of the remaining ten contestants set to leave the show on Sunday night when the results of the public vote will be revealed.
