Driving more business into rural pubs
Milltown facility may be a first
A PUBLICAN in Milltown has found a novel way of driving customers into his bar: a state-of-the-art golf simulator.
Winter can be a difficult time to be a golfer. Courses are often closed due to flooding or frost and even when they're open, getting around the 18 holes can be a chilly or wet few hours.
However, now golfers have the chance to keep their swing in check while staying warm and dry, courtesy of Sheridan’s on the Green, a golf simulator based in Sheridan’s Bar and Restaurant on the busy N17 route.
“It was my daughter Cora who came up with the idea while over in the USA for a J1. Every night she was sending me pictures or videos of people enjoying these machines inside bars,” explained pub proprietor Cathal Sheridan.
