God can’t be blamed for Galway’s potholes!

A GROWING number of claims from motorists against Galway County Council are being denied due to the incident being blamed on an Act of God.

Prior to April, motorists whose vehicles were damaged because of a pothole on a public road had their repair claims dealt with internally by Galway County Council. However, they are now all referred to and dealt with by APB Insurance.

“Now I’m firm believer in God and would be a regular Mass goer, but I can’t imagine it is God out there digging holes in our roads. That’s not a God I want to believe in,” stated Cllr Andrew Reddington, during a recent meeting of the Tuam Municipal District.
