Private hospitals crucial as public waiting lists soar

GALWAY’S public hospitals will definitely need the assistance of private hospitals in the city for the rest of the year in a bid to “catch up” as a result of the severe impact on public waiting lists for surgeries caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

University Hospital Galway has been availing of services and beds at both the Galway Clinic and the Bon Secours Hospital in Renmore since the start of the pandemic.
