John's on top of the world!

The historic climb of Croagh Patrick by wheelchair-bound John Tobin from Williamstown made history at the weekend.
The specially adapted motorised chair could also become a prototype for one to be used in mountain rescues, according to his mother Ann and his personal assistant Clive Guthrie.
“We were a bit apprehensive about his back as he is light framed but John’s 'Dream Machine’ ensured that he had not as much as a bruise or any pain during or after the climb,” says his delighted parents Ann and Michael from Farm, Williamstown.
“While we were totally overjoyed I think the whole country was too when they saw him on RTE on top of Croagh Patrick,” says his mother.
