Galway companies in line for national awards
SEVERAL businesses and organisations in Galway have made the shortlist for the 2026 Business & Finance Awards.
Business & Finance is an Irish business magazine. The Business & Finance Awards are now in their 52nd year and remain Ireland's longest-running and most prestigious business recognition platform, honouring companies and individuals whose achievements contribute to Ireland’s economic success and international reputation.
Galway-based businesses Boston Scientific, iSupply Ltd, Platform94 and Údarás na Gaeltachta will be competing against some of Ireland's biggest names across foreign direct investment, sustainability, brand development and public enterprise in a bid to take home one of the awards on Thursday, December 10.
Medical equipment manufacturer Boston Scientific will go up against nine other companies for the Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) Company of the Year. Others to be shortlisted include Siemens, Intel and Amazon.
Based in Galway city, iSupply provide expertise in print, outdoor signage, event branding, web, promotional products and graphic design services. They will be taking on 11 other companies from across Ireland hoping to be named ESG Business of the Year.
Platform94 is a centre of excellence for scaling technology businesses into the international market, who are also based in Galway city. They have been shortlisted for Brand of the Year alongside companies such as An Post, Bord Gáis Energy and Aviva.
Údarás na Gaeltachta is a regional state agency located in Connemara, responsible for the economic, social, and cultural development of the Irish-speaking Gaeltacht regions in Ireland. They are nominated alongside An Post, Fáilte Ireland and the Shannon Airport Group to be named Public Enterprise of the Year.
Exceptional response to awards
“The exceptional response to this year's Business & Finance Awards, with a significant increase in entries, is a powerful reflection of the ambition, resilience and confidence of Ireland's business community,” said Ian Hyland, President and publisher of Business & Finance.
“What is particularly encouraging is not simply the volume of submissions, but the outstanding calibre of the companies and individuals being recognised.”
The 52nd Business & Finance Awards, in association with KPMG, will take place at the Convention Centre Dublin on December 10. It will bring together more than 1,000 senior businesses, political, civic and social leaders from Ireland and around the world.
