Repair works for Headford footpaths

FOOTPATH repairs in Headford have been welcomed by local Councillor Andrew Reddington, the Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council.

Sections of the footpath on the Galway Road and Main Street have undergone repair works, after the local authority’s Tuam area office was successful in securing funding to repair sections of footpaths in the town from the TII.

“Time and time again, I have raised the damaged footpaths in the town, and recently I had to lift an elderly person who tripped on the way to a funeral,” said Cllr Reddington.

“I am also pleased to see that a section between Tesco and the health centre is now scheduled for repair. The damaged tactile paving is going to be fixed, as it has been an issue for those with mobility difficulties getting to their appointments.”
