Scaled two peaks in one day for cancer research

OVER 200 employees from Galway based Boston Scientific climbed two peaks in a day to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research.

The employees climbed Croagh Patrick in Mayo and Diamond Hill in Connemara in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI).

The staff raised an incredible €70,000 for the charity. Each participant committed to raising a minimum of €200 with many far exceeding that target.

This is the second year of Boston Scientific’s Charity Partnership with NBCRI with all proceeds raised over that period going towards supporting the breast cancer research team based at The Lambe Institute, University of Galway.

As a national charity, NBCRI is dedicated to funding and supporting breast cancer research that improves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
