Exhibition of Tuam Art and Design students
AN Art Exhibition by students at Tuam's GRETB Further Education and Training (FET) Centre will showcase the achievements of its learners.
‘Sonder’ marks an important milestone for the Art & Design programme, offering learners an opportunity to present their work to the public and celebrate their artistic journey.
The exhibition at the centre on the Ballygaddy Road, is the third annual exhibition which reflects not only the technical skills developed throughout the course, but also the individuality and personal expression of each learner.
Since its introduction, three years ago, the Art & Design programme has become one of the centre’s most successful and demanded courses.
The QQI Level 5 course provides learners with a comperehensive foundation in creative practice, with modules including Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Design Skills, Computer Illustrated Graphics, Communications and Work Experience.
“The success of the Art & Design programme in Tuam has been remarkable,” said Centre Director Michael McDonagh.
“Sonder represents the dedication, creativity, and growth of our learners, and we are delighted to share their work with the wider community,” he added.
The exhibition will open officially on Tuesday, June 16 from 6pm to 8pm, and will be open for free public viewing on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm.
