All roads to Glenamaddy

Over 40 classes of cattle set for Show on October 1

IRELAND’S largest indoor cattle show takes place in Glenamaddy on Sunday week.

Launched on Thursday of last week, the annual Glenamaddy District Ploughing and Agricultural Show is being held on Sunday October 1, at the Equestrian Centre on the Kilkerrin Road, with cattle judging to begin at 11am that morning.

There are more than 40 classes of pedigree, commercial and dairy cattle being shown. A variety of cups and cash prizes will be given out in classes for breeds such as Angus, Charolais, Simmentals, Belgian Blues and pedigree Holstein Fresian dairy cattle.

Entries to the pedigree and commercial classes are being accepted up until this Sunday, September 24…
