Craic galore promised at 49th edition of festival

‘IF they’re looking right leave on your light, if they ain’t sound turn it down,’ is the theme for the Bring Me Out Shaft dating night at the Dunmore Annual Festival.

Shafts from Dunmore, and others from elsewhere, looking for a bit of romance can partake in the event on the second Friday of the festival, August 10, which is being held in the Dunmore Community Centre and hosted by Ronan Lardner of Galway Bay FM.

This year’s festival kicks off on Friday week, August 4, and runs for nine days until Monday August 13. The programme of events for the 49th hosting of the Dunmore Festival was launched last Friday in An Dun Rí in the square by Councillor Liam Carroll, the Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council.

The festival will be officially opened on Sunday August 6…
