Junior club players to represent Galway in Connacht Hurling League

FOR many of the players involved, they may have always harboured ambitions of wearing the maroon and white of Galway at adult level but perhaps felt it was beyond their grasp.

However, a new venture by Galway GAA has opened the door for 36 players to come together and represent the Tribesmen in the Connacht Senior Hurling League and offers them the chance to line out for the county.

For the past number of numbers of months, the Galway Hurling Committee had been examining development pathways outside the core inter-county squads. One of which was for Junior club players, who may not have been getting the desired level of exposure previously…
