New Gaelscoil campus on the horizon for Athenry

THE process of building a new Gaelscoil campus in Athenry has taken its first steps, with permission being sought for the demolition of disused buildings at the old Clarin College site.

According to the Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB), the former Clarin College is to be developed to facilitate the building of a new 450-pupil post primary school for Coláiste an Eachréidh as well as a 16-classroom primary school for Gaelscoil Riada.
