Land 'waterlogged' in most parts of the county

FRANKLIN was the storm felt most in North Galway, its winds disrupting many a person’s sleep in the early hours of Monday morning.

Storm Franklin had the village of Moylough in total darkness on Sunday evening, while there were also power outages in Abbeyknockmoy and parts of Tuam.

All three of last week’s storms, Dudley, Farmer Brendan Geraghty is a weather recorder from Abbeyknockmoy. He has been collecting rainfall since 1960, his father before him having done so from 1930 onwards.
