Green light for field of dreams

THE go-ahead has been given for a €1.5 million full-size synthetic GAA pitch at St Jarlath’s College in Tuam – the first of its kind for any secondary school in the county.

The major development has been in the planning for some time, but its progress was delayed due to varying aspects of the pandemic. Planning permission for the significant project has just been granted by Galway County Council and the next hurdle will be securing funding.
