Ceremony to mark 20th anniversary of Tuam woman’s death in Twin Towers

THE family and friends of the late Anne McHugh will be joined by America’s most senior representative in Ireland this weekend for a remembrance ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack in which the Tuam woman was killed.

Consular Officer Matthew Coulson of the US Embassy in Dublin will join the McHugh family at the Anne Marie McHugh Memorial Garden on Saturday, where an ecumenical service will begin at 1.45pm, marking the time of the first attack on New York’s Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
