Minors suffer cruel defeat after stunning Roscommon recovery

FOR the second straight year, Galway bowed out to Roscommon at the semi-final stage of the Connacht Minor Football Championship. And like 2020, there was no second chance to salvage their season.

This was a cruel, cruel defeat for Alan Glynn and his players. From going 11 points up late in the first half, their performance levels dipped when playing into the wind and Roscommon mounted a comeback that will down in the county's folklore should they go on, as expected, to retain the provincial title against Sligo.
