Galway tipped for another camogie title

IN a year of so much uncertainty, if you were looking for a punt that’s as close to a banker as you’re likely to get, few would argue if you stuck a few quid on two of Camogie’s “Big Three” – Galway, Cork and Kilkenny – contesting the 2020 Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship final.
Despite the incremental improvements being made in the likes of Tipperary and Waterford in recent seasons, it’ll be a repeat of last year’s decider with Galway and Kilkenny squaring off in camogie’s showpiece event on Saturday evening in Croke Park (throw-in 7pm). The game will be broadcast live on RTÉ 2 with coverage beginning at 6pm.
Galway go in search of bringing first ever back-to-back O’Duffy Cups across the Shannon and are also bidding to secure a fourth senior crown in the county’s history. Before winning their first in 1996, Galway had been beaten in nine successive finals prior to that maiden success and at present have lost 15 finals in total since the competition’s inception in 1932.
