Tuam crime spree behind rise in Galway burglary figures
AN increase in burglaries in the Galway Garda division has been attributed to a crime spree in the Tuam area at the start of the year.
Figures released to the Galway County Joint Policing Committee at a meeting in Kiltormer this week showed a 13 per cent increase in burglaries and a 35 per cent increase in thefts from vehicles from January.
