Dominant display outclasses Mellows

AS Storm Deirdre began to rear her head at the weekend, the large crowd taking in the rarity that is hurling at Tuam Stadium saw a Turloughmore tornado blow away Liam Mellows for a second year running to secure only their second ever Frank Fahy Cup.
This particular championship may have taken close to 20 months to get wrapped up and the game was played in the midst of a torrential downpour and difficult underfoot conditions, but the Turloughmore youngsters showcased some sublime skill and guile to cruise to a fully deserved and comfortable 15-point victory. The men clad in black and white had nine different scorers, shot a mammoth 2-13 from play and were in simply irresistible form.
