Plans for a Tuam Super Plaza

THE owner of giant Irish fast-food chain Supermac’s has entered the race to secure planning for a drive-thru service station close to the new Tuam Bypass and M18/M17 motorway.
Galway’s Pat McDonagh has joined forces with local businessman Michael Mannion to seek planning permission for the large development which should it get the go-ahead could create 45 jobs. The site is across from lands where a similar large scale service station, retail unit and drive-thru was recently refused by Galway County Council.  This decision has now been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
