Gardai seek witnesses in probe into Tuam gun scare

NO arrests have yet been made but Garda investigations are continuing into an alleged attempted shooting by a person wearing a balaclava in the vicinity of Tuam Swimming Pool last Friday.
One man who was leaving the leisure centre told Gardai that a masked person pointed a gun at him. But no shots were fired and the masked person fled the scene on foot.
Concerns have been expressed that this may be the continuation of a feud going on for over a year and a half involving some members of the Travelling community which has resulted in shots being fired in two other incidents, one at Gilmartin Road and the other in Barnaderg.
