Roscommon goal rush sinks Galway North in Shield final

THREE second half goals in six minutes proved to be Galway North’s undoing against Roscommon in the Ted Webb Shield final on Friday evening.
It was a splendid evening for football, and a healthy crowd gathered at the Connacht GAA Centre to see an open game of football. Galway North had been lucky to escape the first half with a clean sheet after Roscommon had missed three great chances, but Darragh Walsh, captain Paul McManus and Paul Carey rattled the back of the Galway net between the 42nd and 48th minutes.
