Apple gives assurance it’s ready to go with Athenry facility

HOPES are high that the Apple Corporation will get the green light soon for planning for its Athenry data storage facility.
Senior executives flew into Shannon and travelled to Oranmore for a private meeting with Deputy Noel Grealish there over a week ago.
If it gets the go-ahead after a Bord Pleanala oral hearing, hundreds of jobs will be created in building the facility and when operational it will have over 100 workers.
As Deputy Grealish was the only senior politician to speak strongly in favour of Apple at the oral hearings he says the firm’s executives took note of his observations and flew in to meet him and discuss their plans for Athenry further.
