Tuam AC Road Race on Sunday

ENTRIES are flying in from all over the country for the annual Tuam AC 8k Road Race which takes place on Sunday afternoon.
Now in its 12th year, the event has gone from strength to strength and its popularity shows no sign of letting up, according to race director Brendan Monaghan.
“It started in 2005 with 130 competitors and we have had over 500 entrants in each of the last three years. It’s the ideal way to begin the New Year and we especially welcome walkers and joggers, as every single competitor is equally important to Tuam AC.”
“We are also starting the day with our very enjoyable 1k Children’s Fun Run which takes place in the grounds of St Jarlath’s College at 1.30pm.
