Comfortable win for Corofin

At Tuam Stadium

PERHAPS it’s the greatest sign of Corofin’s development in the past three years that these type of matches are being negotiated with a real sense of cool composure.
There was a time when an early Connacht Club Championship clash against Leitrim opposition could seriously examine the value and potential of any team, but those who gathered in the cold at Tuam Stadium witnessed another Corofin win that was every bit as convincing as the scoreline suggests.
Mohill did all they could to stay competitive, repeatedly dropping 13 men behind the ball, but Corofin ploughed on defiantly. There was nothing wrong with Mohill’s attitude or application they simply didn’t have the legs or skill to pose any serious questions of Corofin, who set the agenda early on.
