Galway and cork cant be separated in classic decider

At Parnell Park

STALEMATE at Parnell Park in this compelling Ladies National Football League Division 1 final and, in the end, few were complaining.
As ever, drawn matches bring contrasting emotions and this one could have easily gone either way. Maybe Galway had a little more cause for regret in the final analysis, yet they still needed to come up with the game’s final two points to secure a replay with three-in-a-row chasing Cork.
The Tribeswomen have never won the Division 1 title and history looked their destiny when 1-4 without reply overturned a three-point half-time deficit and moved them four points in front with 17 minutes remaining. They also had an opportunity to extend that margin to seven when their inspirational captain Ger Conneally was felled inside the Cork square.
