Graveyard group seeks to meet with commission

PEOPLE with information on the Tuam Mother and Baby Home are being urged to contact the Commission of Investigation, following a meeting in Leinster House where Children’s Minister James Reilly met with a local community group.
Members of the Tuam Children’s Home Graveyard Committee travelled to Dublin last Wednesday for the appointment with Dr Reilly, which was facilitated by local TD Paul Connaughton.
Speaking to The Tuam Herald after the meeting, committee spokesperson Teresa Kelly said it had been a very positive experience.
“Minister Reilly acknowledged all the work we have done and we all felt it was a good meeting, where we got our point across to both the minister and his officials, who seemed to understand where we were coming from,” she said.
