Two played two victories galway are the nfl division 2 tabletoppers

GALWAY footballers find themselves in an unfamiliar position this week, top of the table with full points after two games, after they just managed to edge out the home side Westmeath in a thrilling Allianz National League Division Two encounter at Cusack Park, Mullingar last Sunday.
While the win and League points are very welcome, there is much to work on but the team and management are to be commended on two fine victories in successive weekends and their opening day performance which comfortably accounted for Meath was endorsed when the Royal County proved too strong for promotion favourites Kildare on Saturday.
This was old-fashioned, end-to-end football as both sides threw caution to the winds as if neither had even heard of blanket defences.
