Galway defence conceded four goals one week before start of the nfl

GALWAY senior footballers were brought down to earth with a bang at Páirc Naomh Bríd, Kiltoom last Sunday when their unbeaten FBD Insurances League run came to an unceremonious halt as the home side Roscommon produced a four-goal blitz in the second half to seize control of the 2015 final.
While new Galway manager Kevin Walsh and selectors Brian Silke and Seán Conlon will, naturally, be disappointed at seeing their team lose the match they will be consoled to some extent by the fact that they were without several first choice players and, furthermore, that they have blooded many younger players who did well to win three games in a row and reach the final of the competition.
Roscommon manager John Evans will be happier, though. Despite losing one game, to N.U.I. Galway, they bounced back immediately with an impressive display against Mayo and now this win in successive weeks. It leaves them in confident mood as they prepare to welcome Cavan to the same Kiltoom ground for League action next Sunday.
