Pub session prompts speculation of saw doctors return to stage

AN impromptu performance in Tuam at the weekend has ignited the hopes of Saw Doctors fans around the world that the much-loved band will return to touring in the near future.
Band founders Davy Carton and Leo Moran surprised punters in The Brogue Bar in the town centre on Saturday night when they took to the stage for about half an hour.
The Saw Doctors haven’t performed for more than a year while they have been taking a break from touring and recording. However, there is some definite good news for fans of The Docs as Davy and Leo started writing new songs last week. Despite speculation that the Docs will launch their comeback in Tuam this summer at the second SugarBeat Festival in Tuam Stadium, the official word from management is that there is no indication that it is even being considered.
“It’s very early days. They sang a few songs in Tuam at the weekend but there’s nothing at all planned at the minute,” stated band manager Ollie Jennings.
