Caoimhe Hickey after her haircut at Valair Hair Salon.

Caoimhe let her locks get the chop for childrens charity

A TEN-year-old schoolgirl from Corrandulla is sporting a new hairstyle after she took the brave step of having all of her 14 inches of lovely long locks cut off for charity.
Caoimhe Hickey from Parke in Corrandulla has been growing her hair for the past three years and told her mum Wilma that she never wanted to cut it. However, earlier this year she began to think that she might like a change but she was keen to put her hair-growing efforts to further use.
Caoimhe began researching how she might donate her hair and eventually chose the Little Princess Trust Hair Donation which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer and other illnesses.
