New playground a dream come true for Corofin

WORK on the new split-leve, state of the art playground for Corofin is scheduled to begin in the next two weeks, following on from the weekend's summer festival.

Cllr Sean Canney performed the official duties by turning the first sod of the new development on Friday.

The contract for the 800 sq m development has been awarded to local firm M and A Curley Construction from Rusheens, and the park is set to open in late autumn.
